Sizing

Getting the fit right

Sizing Guide.

Two measurements. A soft tape. Five minutes. Here is how to make sure the harness fits the first time.

How to measure.

Use a soft measuring tape. If you do not have one, a piece of string and a ruler works too. Measure with your dog standing on all four legs, calm. Not too tight, not too loose. You should be able to fit two fingers between the tape and your dog's body.

Chest. Take the measurement at the widest part, just behind the front legs. This is the most important number.

Neck. Measure at the base of the neck, where a collar naturally sits.

The size chart.

Size Neck Chest Typical breeds
XS 24 to 34 cm 30 to 44 cm Small puppies, toy breeds
S 28 to 42 cm 42 to 60 cm Shih tzu, pomeranian, small aspin
M 34 to 56 cm 58 to 80 cm Mini schnauzer, beagle, medium aspin
L 46 to 66 cm 78 to 102 cm Goldendoodle, large aspin, golden retriever

Between sizes?

Size up. The dual-locking adjustment is generous and handles the in-between. Sizing down means the harness might be too tight at the chest, which is uncomfortable and unsafe. Sizing up means the adjustment system does what it was designed to do.

For the leash.

The leash comes in two sizes. Small is 1.3m long, 1.3cm wide, rated for dogs up to 14 kg. Regular is 1.7m long, 1.9cm wide, rated for dogs up to 36 kg. If your dog is a strong puller, go up a tier.

Buying the Walking Kit? You do not pick the leash size separately. It comes matched to the harness size you choose: XS and S include the Small leash, M and L include the Regular. We match it for you so the leash always suits the dog.
